is the touch screen worth it? I cant hardly find pictures of the laptop on goolge let alone videos or information on the m6600. also i read you can alter files to trick the computer into thinking a quadro is a geforce, what is the 4000m's geforce equivelant?

I plan on using AutoCAD and Revit but thats about it, these too dont seem to have any problems running on my 460 sli desktop. do i realy need a quadro?

The touch screen has the same specs as the regular Full HD (1920x1080) LED display. It just has the touch functionality and stylus for an additional $275- not really worth it in my opinion.

The AMD FirePro M8900 (standard) graphics card can match or beat the NVIDIA Quadro 4000M in most performance benchmarks. It's more than enough, I would think.

I wouldn't spend the extra for the touch screen. Seriously when do you touch the screen while using AutoCAD? I don't; the only time I do touch the screen is when I am finalizing renderings in photoshop, for that I have a wacom cintiq 21ux :D . I would recommend you get a Quadro graphics card because it was designed for people like you that use CAD software (it does help). In fact I think right now you can upgrade to a Quadro 3000m for free when you order your m6600 online plus save an additional 30% when you use this code VT7KHQ32ZSCFSG on top of the savings they already give you. If you do this you can save approximately $1,000  , use the money to buy an SSD and more memory to improve your AutoCAD software or buy a wacom cintiq 12ux. just an idea. ;)

Actually the 30% is not on top of the savings they already give you. I tried configuring a system and applying the coupon code, and it gives you that 30% INSTEAD of the other "discount." Using the coupon, it came out to less than $100 cheaper than without for the system I configured.

Well, the default discount is just 30% of the initial pre-configured price. When you customize that, it modifies the price but not the discount.

Applying the coupon just "resets" the discount.
