    Just bought and m90 for just under 200$ shipped.it has a core 2 duo 1.83ghz,nvidia quadro fx1500m,80gig hdd,17inch 1920x1200 screen,windows vista,1gig of ram.What is the maximum amount of ram the laptop can use?

    On that generation I think the max is 4GB.

    Hello,

    This is the same chassis as the XPS M1710 - and yes - the max ram it can hold is 4gb, which equates to 3.25 being visible in windows.

    Please note that - this system works well with the D/Dock - however - if you use 4gb of ram, you probably won't be able to use the extra PCI slot in the D/Dock in case that is what you were intending.

    For years, I ran three monitors from my XPS M1710 using the D/Dock and a Nvidia NVS 280 PCI card, which worked really well, until I upgraded to 4gb.
