You'll enjoy the QX9300 if you do daily 3D rendering, heavy duty encoding etc.

    I just put Qx9300 in my M4400.

I must say it's so "hot"

If I stress all cores to 100% by the SP2004 the temprature raise to 100'C immediatly.
It's a hooooorible number that I dare not last the test too long.

    btw, I got a air-conditioner running.

But the power of this cpu is still impressive.

That seems a bit too high. The QX9300 is an option from dell, so I'm surprised it is going so high in an AC room

Did you apply thermal paste well? 100C seems REALLY high. The Q9100 I tested in my 14.1" E6400 didn't even run that high - topped out at round 88C with stress testing (Orthos). Did you remember to plug the fan in, etc?

I was shocked, too. But It seems no program can really stress it to 100%...

It's about 52'C at normal use, 65'C when playing 3d games. And everything runs smoothly.

I use Artic cooling MX-2 thermal paste and I am sure that fan is running since it's really loud...

And as I halt the stress, the temprature fall quickly.

If you stress your every core of Q9100 with stress prime 2004, maybe you will get similar results.
