I edit HD video mainly on this laptop for work and after doing a little work today I definately feel it runs smoother. Preview of video is more stable and it runs a few fps faster too. Impressive!

You need to tick the box first, then change the highest multipliers voltage. Watch all the other multipliers voltages move. It basically calculates the minimum and maximum multipliers voltages and fills in the voltages in between.

As John noted, make sure you stress it and throw whatever you can at it to ensure stability.

Yes that older method wasnt easy going but we acquired the signed x64 drivers now which is safe

Thanks Flipfire for the comprehensive guide, I feel like I just bought a brand new laptop, cost $0 ;)

One question, I just finished a 3 hour stress test and all is well. So Im about to add RMClock to start automatically with windows.

Is it better to put it to start from the "start up folder" or from the registry?

One reason I ask is that everytime I run RMClock windows alerts me that "An unidentified program wants access to your computer" and I have to click allow. I want to avoid having to do this on start up incase it will, is it possible?

Definately, cleaning the dust and undervolting made the temps drop whopping 20 degrees :D

Waiting for coffee, good time to do a little editing ;)

follow the guide in this link if you want to get rid of UAC asking for permission.

    http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/window-on-windows/?p=616

When you set task scheduler to run rmclock at startup you have to set rmclock itself NOT to run at startup....otherwise it'll try to start two times and you'll get a message there's another instance of the program already running.

Just a note, if anyone follows this thread, on the conditions page you need to uncheck the box "Start the task only if the computer is on AC power" and on the Settings page untick the box "Stop the task if it runs longer then:".

Took me a while to figure why RMClock suddenly quit when I unplugged my computer for a while :)

Ah ok, you need to untick the greyed out boxes as well. First tick the upper box and then untick the lower and then the untick the upper.

They greyed out boxes still function so you need to do this.
