i know there are many "nvidia issue" posts out there, but all are confusing and not conclusive

i own a vostro 1400 and my 12 months warranty ran out.i should admit until now, i never had a single problem with this machine...only thing is that if i play any game for a prolonged time, area near the fan get heated up.
Now all of a sudden- BOOM!! i got some weird lines(colored) and my laptop fan area is like a oven..
i thought it is a temporary problem...but it just got worse,i m now getting frequent hangups with colored screen,i can only start my windows in safemode(i am still in this safemode)
i read of some bios update,so installed it ...RESULT? still same colored streaks..
so i even reinstalled my WINDOWS,only to find those colored screen, and same old hangups...
heres how my laptop looks while it works(rarest case, that too while my graphic card is disabled)

most users in direct2dell blog are crying out that dell customer care is really ignorant of this issue and they doesn't even know about that EXTENDED warranty on this issue
i donno is this dell guys will replace my GPU,
if any one faced same problem or have a proper solution do reply...

yea the gpu is dead or in the stages of going dead, once you have this problem the noob bios update that ramps up the fan speed will no anything, dell only put that out so the gpu can hold out until warranty over then die

called dell! he says its LCD problem and is reading out plans to extend my warranty options...LOL
explained him that LCD problem dont make my laptop die, & he talked to his senior ...said,if that problem is due to graphic card ..he ll replace it.
    uploaded vid,just in case...
this problem is random...if i shutdown my laptop for a prolonged time...it starts fine...suddenly this weirdo screen hangup appear dynamically..
