    I wonder whether the $196M would cover the cost of repairs already done. I doubt it. nVidia got off lightly considering that some of the smaller notebook manufacturers have gone bankrupt because of the cost of repairs and loss of goodwill because of these GPU problems.

    In Europe there is legislation that covers latent defects although one may need to start a court case in order to get the notebook manufacturer to cooperate.
