    Lol gold plated

    I didn't know i7 supported 32-bit OSes hmmm.

And I think it's because of 1) build quality 2) the support Dell provides, don't they have like NBD on-site complete care or w.e?

Which model are you referring to? Dell Latitude? The only Dell that has an i7 is the Precision M6500, which is built like a tank. It has the best single mobile GPU ATM, the FX 3800M and considering between this and the i7-920XM will probably be close to $2000...

Business laptop usually deals only with documents, presentations.. You don't even need a superior graphic card for the slides and i7 cores for typing documents.

Those are just ONE type of business.

What about the graphics design industry? What about Pixar Animations? Disney? Or engineering CAD? They may use Macs or something, but if they were to choose Dell, they would require good graphics.

The i7-based M6500 is expensive because it's more a premium laptop, rather than a vanilla business laptop. If you buy a standard-fare E6400 or E6500, it won't cost that much more than a similarly spec'ed Studio or SXPS.

construction (usually metal alloy, semi ruggedized, designed for 5 yr lifespan vs 3 year for consumer grade) , better support both warranty wise and software wise (supported for 5 years, bios, drivers etc)

and nobody pays list prices. For example i got $722 off my precision
