    Your paying a higher price, but getting a superior product (relative to build quality, support, and in some cases, power).

    Yup...have a Precision M70 that I bought in 2005 for $3K, still going strong on Windows 7 as a test box. Because of its size, I had kept it docked for a good portion of its life, but that 15" 1920x1200 screen is hard to beat on the few trips that I had taken it on. :)
