Has anyone tried out XP mode with Professional 64bit?

I just gave it a try and it said I would need to enable virtualization in BIOS. I'll look at the settings later and provide an update. Hopefully it's not like those Sony laptops where it's disabled...

It's simple to enable. Just go into the BIOS, find where the option is (can't remember where off the top of my head) and switch it to enabled.

I enabled it and it works fine.

A heads up to anyone else, don't enable the txt setting as well, or you'll have you restart to disable it.

You can't run it without virtualization enabled, it comes up with a message, telling you to turn virtualization on in your BIOS.

What are your system specs? Maybe you need to allocate more RAM to your virtual pc.

Well it depends on your specs... but it should run run smoothly in system like mine. Remember that you run TWO Windows at the same time, so don't expect super duper smooth experience.

Guys, I was using my Latitude on Win7 for a while now but noticed it was slower then my sister's Inspiron.

I started digging up my E6400 to do a deep optimization, removing unecessary crap out of it. So I decided to go radical and format.

But I'm in doubt of what I should and shouldn't install on my note, I was wondering if you guys have a check-list of necessary stuff.

I was digging in this post in order to create a small check-list of things and so far I made this one, please correct me if its wrong:

    Latitude E6400 Installation Steps:

1 - Install Windows 7 and let the Upgrade take most (if not all) of the drivers.

2 - Install Intel Matrix Raid from Intel site, not Dell's.

3 - Install Dell Control Point System Manager.

    Optional Steps:

    - If you want Webcam Central:
1 - Install Vista 64 drivers for the camera.
2 - Install Dell Webcam Central.
3 - Remove the drivers using the Device Manager.
    4 - Reboot the machine.
    5 - Reinstall the driver.

    - If you want the IDT's Sound Application:
1 - Install IDT Sound Driver for more configuration options.

    - If you want Dell Touchpad / Pointing Stick:
1 - Install Dell Touchpad drivers.

Is this steps right or am I missing something?

Another question, what are those Intel AMT HECI and Intel AMT SOL/LMS Drivers, should I install it?

Just Googled it and found out it's an enterprise feature that applies mostly on corp machines, so scratch that, no need to download I guess.
