If we receive as spare parts than yes. But new GPU is compatible only with P775TMx and P75xTMx Barebones. I mean compatible without any problems. Don't forget heatsinks must be changed too.

And it's not an MXM card unfortunately, although it very much looks like it. Looking at photos from the conf, it is smaller size than mxm 3A

Hello guys i bought 2 MXM QUADRO P3200 and P4200 on ebay to make some upgrade laptops i have interest in these card becouse they are showing good powerfull. when card came to me i cant find BIOS Chip... so i try to test in Clevo P870DM and display iss black, so thinking it should use with OPTIMUS and put the card in Alienware 17 with Intel HD. In bios it show as NVIDIA GFX. Then i try to install GTX driver but after give me error 43. its ok think i will try MOD QUADRO original driver from HP inf file. i delite drivers wwith DDU and MOD again so i have ERROR 43 again.

NVflash see card as ADAPTER GRAPHICS DEVICE and cant a make backup.

So in final i think these cards from HP ZBOOK17 G5 and may be he have vbios on motherboard or he bios with vbios together....

MXM plate have 8 pin contacts for BIOS i think but not include.

The VBIOS is in the HP's motherboard instead of the GPU itself, you could theoretically solder a VBIOS chip onto it and flash a VBIOS onto it, as people on taobao do that iirc

Yesterday I successfully upgraded my Dell Precision 7710 from M4000M to P4000 (refurbished HP card).

The operation was more or less straight-forward. The HP x-bracket was to tall on the backside (front side for the screws coming in was OK) so I had to exchange it with the one coming from my M4000M. The main circuit board layout was mostly the same so I reused all thermal pads as they were. Some smd components are a little bit lower (0.2-0.3 mm) compared to the M4000M board but I don't think this really matters (future will prove) ;)

NVIDIA v419.67 driver modding was necessary. All benchmarks (Unigine Heaven/Valley, 3DMark TimeSpy/Firestrike) show performance increase between 20-30% compared to the "old" M4000M while the temperature stays the same. For sure this is caused by the very conservative clock behaviour of the P4000 (max boost for GPU clock was roundabout 1250MHz and 1504 MHZ for the vram).

Internal and external video ports (laptop display + E-Port DVI) are functional.

One side note. So far I can see NVIDIA optimus is functional too but in-depth tests will follow once I reassembled the notebook (still waiting for a new palmrest with FIPS reader included coming in this week).

Hello! I want to install an NVIDIA Quadro P5000 video card in my MSI MS 16L1 laptop (Eurocom Tornado F5). Does anyone know which graphics card manufacturer Eurocom puts on their Tornado F5 / F5w laptops? Dell, HP, Fujitsu, Lenovo, Clevo? I saw on ebay the Quadro P5000 graphics card from the manufacturer “HP” with video BIOS 86.04.3А.00.15 (I saw the number on the ad photo). The price is very attractive for a new video card! But I do not know whether it will work in my MS 16L1 (modified BIOS Coffee Lake from @dsanke version 10.02.2019)? Does it matter who the video card manufacturer is? What versions of video BIOS for the video card will my MS 16L1 work with? Help please who knows!

Sadly he doesn't upgrade the heatsink in that video (that one is intended for the 1060/1070), so the 1080 will be running very hot.

For some reason I thought he was installing RTX 2080 not GTX 1080 lol.

Seems to run okay, temps were around same as 1070.

Replaced my P170SM's dead 8970M with Firepro M6100. Works fine, although the X-bracket screws from the old card won't fit the Firepro ones so you'll need to get the screws for that

    IMPORTANT
For all owners of a mobile rtx2080 mounted on a clevo base, I am pleased to announce that I flash the bios for Dell and it works perfectly!! Finally we can make the most of our video cards..the base clock starts at 1575 mhz while it is at 1755 mhz with the boost..I remember that the bios of the first stopped at 1380 mhz and 1590 mhz..I tested this bios for a couple of hours with projects in virtual reality on a unreal engine without any problem, the temperatures do not exceed 81 ° (pulled at maximum)
    Good flash! :)

    Lotta questions here,
Would anyone happen to have any info on how easy a 8770W/Zbook 17 G1/2 could accept a 1070 MXM?
How easy it would be to retrofit a DC 8740W display to a 8770W/Zbook?
If the Zbook's take the 8770W display?
Can i just use optimus if I can't find a DC model or display assembly?

    Hello,

    I just successfully upgraded my Dell M4800 QHD+ from a Quadro K2100M to a Quadro M2200.
No problem for the upgrade (about 1H/1H30), the BIOS says "unknown video card" but it boots properly and is detected by the OS.
In my case the OS is Linux so I didn't need to tweak anything in the drivers and everything worked out of the box.

Full GTX 980 Desktop working in Alienware M18X R2.

    Card mfg : MSI
Bios : Clevo GTX 980 : Gives 8 BEEP in PEG but Working in SG Mode
Bios: Stock MSI : Card is undetected and gives 8 BEEP in PEG

Currently in SG mode , but can run discrete when needed.

Next step to install 2nd GTX 980 in Slave drive and see what will happen. lol

That's weird, it shouldn't give 8 beeps in PEG unless it is a G-SYNC card?

No clue, I’ve never examined the card myself so I couldn’t say for sure. But it’s cool that it works even if it is only in SG mode.

I am supplying @Khenglish with N16e-gxx-a1 cores for him to see if we can get full desktop 980 standard MXM cards

If it is green pcb same shape as msi 1070 then it is not gsync version since it should be from msi gt80s laptop which is non gsync

How many cores? Maybe 2 extra for me LOL

I'm not sure. Only way to confirm would be in a MSI laptop. If it's not g-sync it should work in PEG.

    Hello Guys....
I need your Expert Help to see if its possible to do some upgrade on my mobile workstation....
I have an MSI-WT72-6QL with an nVidia Quadro M4000M, and I would like to upgrade this GPU to a Quadro P5000 Mobile (because of the 16Gb Memory).
Can anyone tell me if it would be possible to do this?
I know that I could upgrade to a M5000M, but because of my work, I would really love to have this P5000 one.... (it won't be cheap, and it won't be easy to buy, but I would give it a try if anyone could guide me if its possible and what would I need to do....)

    Thanks
