I have a P8400, so it will definately play HD movies. Also i believe that the gpu does not decode HD movies in x264 format, it is pure cpu. So it won't really mather what gpu you choose.
    It is whisper quiet indeed.

Thanks again. Thas´t exactly what I need. I don´t play games, so X4500 is really good choice, if the P8600 can handle HD videos itself. But what I read, X4500 isn´t that weak - it´s good for basic work and some 3D apps - google maps etc.

No, the GPU will decode HD movies. It's been tested and CPU usage does NOT spike when playing 1080p movies. The x4500 can handle x264 1080p video.

That is wrong, h264 can be decoded by gpu, x264 not. X264 is decoded by cpu.
Also h264 can only be decoded by gpu's if they support hardware decoding. "Old" gpu's don't have that option, only the new ones do.
It is a x4500HD so it can do that :p
X264 can be decoded partially by gpu when using the cyberlink decoder, but that sucks

Hey rezaaz. Are the pictures that are already there showing up for you? Was there anything in particular that you wanted to see?

Ya, I want to see the back of the unit and also the place of ports, etc. Also if it is possible I want to see the texture of the laptop. Tanx.

    Thanks for the review,MICHAELSD01!
I am just curious, have you ever used a Thinkpad? And if yes,how do you compare the new Latitude to it (especially the keyboard and the trackpoint)
From what I know about the X4500 Intel claims that the hardware HD decoding will decrease 3 times the pros. involvement in the HD video decoding - lets say- the same HD video that requires 70-80% proc. with the old chipset (3100 integrated card) will need only 20-30% with the new one(4500HD), because most of the work will be done by the new integrated GPU. But there are no proper INTEL drivers yet as far as I know.
