I think GoodBytes was referring to the 15 inch screen, core 2 duo, display port = specs. i got excited too when he said specs, and only read those few descriptions.

Someone mentioned this will be the lightest 16inch (even though it'll be a 15.x inch) does anyone know the weight? if its less than 5.5lbs with a 6cell, i'm willing to go retro 80s~

need to get my aquaspray for my flock of seagulls haircut ^^

I see that the Pg Up and Pg Dn keys are near the front, which I consider much more usable than their location on my E6400 (top right of keyboard) which has two empty seats next to the cursor keys.

I wanted to give you guys the SCOOP and by the looks of it worked perfect.
    The specs are as follow:

    Intel Core2 Duo U9300 1,2 gz
    16" wide screen ( 1600x900 )
    SSD 64 GB HDD
    2 GB RAM
    Intel Wifi Link 5300 AGN
    Intel 82567LM Gigabit NIC
IDT HD Audio and Intel HD HDMI
Broadcom USH CV Fingerprint Swipe Sensor
    Backlight Keyboard
my guess of weight would be close to 1kg
Kind of dark aubergine colour and where the ethernet connector is located are made of metal casing. The rest feels kind of leather

    Vista Business installed

So now you really have everything

And it looks like the battery will stick out the back.

1kg would be extraordinarily light. The 12.1" Toshiba R500 is below 1kg with SSD and no optical drive, but a 16" notebook has a much bigger chassis (size increases approximately in proportion to the square of the display diagonal) so that means the area is around 70% larger. And the bigger size means thicker material to maintain the same rigidity.

1.5kg for a 16" machine would be impressive. Much below that would be amazing. (But only providing a 3 cell battery could knock 0.1kg off the weight), in which cas the owners will have to remember to carry the PSU around. (Will that be an equally thin and light PSU).

1600x900 not 1280x800? Ah probably the DPI was increase or the icons was set to large on the desktop.

No battery does not stick out, as i wanted to show the SIM card you can put in. Also the weight i can be wrong but the charger is very small , smallest i have ever seen on a dell. The power adapter is output 19.5V - 2.31A it is the PA-1M10 family adaptor.

    The size of the laptop is Lenght = 27,4CM Wide= 39,8CM Height= 1,6 CM

The battery may not project beyond the two triangular bits at the back of the chassis, but they stick out at the back by, I guess, 2cm.

The PSU is 45W, which is OK for a ULV CPU. Is there a rating label on the battery?
