Yes, me too I saw it.
It has blu-ray drive, 19 hours of battery life on a 6-cell, 500GB SSD, super solid construct, backlit keyboard where you can change color between red, blue, and white, and even comes with a changeable Nvidia GTX 200 card, all in a fanless design, running on a Core i7 Mobile chip, and it's thinner than Mac Book Air.

It's true, I saw it! It was at a special event between 2am and 10am. But I think Dell was very rude at the end of the event, I mean they kicked me out so fast that I appeared on my bed with the sun light poin....... oh wait.

Post that again in 10 years and everyone will laugh at you at how obsolete that sounds.
I'm starting to get a bit jealous here of all these people seeing (or not) this new Z. I don't see how ANYTHING can be thinner than the Adamo with today's technology, but then, I like to be suprised.
As long as the feature set isn't 1.2ghz processor + 4500mhd graphics (Intel makes a 2.13 now with the same voltage as the Macbook air 1.6) (and also, a 9400M, PLEASE), I might actually consider buying myself a toy like that.

This is nonsense...Dell is know to not only leak, but show full specs a long time before release date.

Remember the Adamo? There were almost reviews and benchmarks before it was even released (sorry, just exaggerating), but there were pics and videos, and tons of sites talking about it.

This mythical laptop instead has no leaks at all, no specs, no pics, no one but some newcommers posting that they have seen it, all of them from their Dell sales rep manager...pretty odd, huh?

Sorry if I'm offensive, but this sounds a lot like spam.

For the ones who have "seen" it...It is known that the Adamo line is getting bigger, with 16:9 ratio 16 inch display and 14 inch display if not mistaken. Most likely it was a new Adamo and not a "Z" series Latitude. I'm with most of the posters. Why release a Z when they use C, D, E? Should it now be a F? I mean, let's be reasonable, it is logical...no?

Most likely, if it even exists, to get a got GPU, it must be Ion based+CULV, no more than 1.6 Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Solo...let us see what this turns out to be, just a very odd joke or truth...

I know this is one of my first posts, and I'm not here to allege that the "Z" series exists. However, regarding the naming convention, isn't "z" the axis measurement for the thinness of a laptop (eg - the new Studio 14z?) If the Z-series is supposed to be super thin, then it makes sense to use "Z" in the name, perhaps? Sorry if that was addressed earlier in the thread, but there still seem to be questions about the inconsistent naming convention.

That's an interesting point. However, how about E4200 and E4300, which are as thin as the 14z and don't have a Z. And how about the Adamo?

If this is real, I think they could go as high as a 9400M, considering the Macbook Air has it, and a 16" notebook is going to have a LOT of space for the heat to spread out inside. Similarly, the 1.6ghz and 1.86ghz processors used in the Airs now have a big brother, at 2.13ghz, amazingly with the same heat production and power usage. so, we could be talking 2.13ghz with 9400M. If that came in a nice, 0.65" thick package, I'd be first in line.

This notebook is very much real. I have held one and spent several hours with it on multipule occasions. The one that is had was 16.4" display a 1600x900.
I will say this I am very picky when it comes to laptops and i fell in love with this thing after only a couple minutes.
Now wether or not it is released as a product like i have used i dunno. I will say this however I will buy one for my personal use when they are ready.

Yea I can't wait for a leaked picture made with the world most dirty camera lens, and all you see is black blur of sorts that can be anything.

well not that kind of pic, but normally some slideshows are leaked with some sort of specs, and maybe a pic...thats the normal thing...even the All Powerful M17x was leaked long before it could be released...
