Exactly, put the DCP controls and Fn combos on there.

Any RAID function on this computer? Does Windows show 2 128GB drives or 1 256gb drive (RAID-0) or 1 128gb drive (RAID-1)?

Internal documentation shows no indication of RAID. Nothing specifically calls out RAID or no RAID, so I'm pretty sure it's a no.

Very preliminarily, I have not been getting very good battery life, but I've been running it with everything powered on and at full brightness. This weekend I'll do a little more investigating and see what it does when set to power saving mode.

I'm still a little concerned that the battery drained so much when at sleep for two days.

I'm still using my MBP 15" unibody for day-to-day work until I get some time to play with the Dell to get it setup completely.

Dell appears to be unable to deliver the 8 cell battery as an accessory. I ordered it with the Z and just got notified today that it is delayed again (for the 3rd time). I didn't cancel because I need it, but I did express my disappointment. They assured me it would be delivered on the 18th.

On a positive note, the Z was delivered within 10 business days. I actually ordered it on 11/2 and it was delivered (next bus day shipping) on 11/10. Originally scheduled for delivery on the 23rd. Impressive.

John, Do you seem to be getting at lease two hours of battery life with the 4 cell? General word, excel and internet type of use.

Concerning the delivery issue with you 8 cell, I wonder if my order would be hrlp up if I ordered the Z withe the 8 cell. I do want to have both, but will most likely order the extra battery later.

Although this seems like a very interesting concept, I fail to see its full usefulness.

Is there any owner yet that can tell me if this is actually a good thing to have?
    Thanks!

You're right...that's what i meant. It would be more usefull if it were DCP and Fn combo functions on the bezel.
