But, more on-topic, I think the one you picked is pretty good. It's hard to hit your desired specs 100% in the outlet, especially because most cheap models seem to come with the WXGA as opposed to the WXGA+ screen. Just upgrade the hard drive aftermarket?

    Disappointed

Just installed Vertex 2 60GB SSD with clean installed of Win 7 Pro 64.

Boot times is about the same as 160GB 7200RPM HDD with clean install of Win 7 Pro 64 bit and i5-520m.

Roughly ~37 seconds from on button to Windows logon for both drives.

On my M1330 with X25 G1 and Win 7 Pro 64 and T7250; boot time was ~25 seconds from on button to Windows logon.

Programs definitely load up instantly though once inside Windows.

I am getting random colored artifacts with the E-port replicator

    Anyone else?

    This is with Intel HD.

Random colored artifacts show up on the wallpaper image via DVI and some websites on certain pages.

Using a direct Displayport cable is flawless.

This is tested with a known good LCD monitor.

Fixed the SD card reader problem. I'm an idiot. I had a faulty SD card, but works in other computers, so I dunno.

But tried other SD cards in my E6410 and no problems with the Ricoh drivers from Dell's website.

I was just playing a 720p video for about 45 minutes to an hour using VLC media player when the CPU started to get hot with the fan running at max speed and the video started to stutter and became unwatchable. The computer was really slow afterwards and unusable.

Does this happen to anyone else?

This was with my i5-520m/Intel HD E6410

It looks as if the CPU had started to throttle. You can confirm this by using Throttlestop or the monitoring page of RMClock.

What is the format of the video and what GPU do you have?
