From an elevated command prompt (command prompt with administrator privileges), try these commands:

    Obtain command help:

    powercfg /?

To enumerate (discover and list) which wake timers are armed and capable of waking the system:

    powercfg -WAKETIMERS

To identify what woke the unit from the last sleep:

    powercfg -LASTWAKE

To list devices currently configured to wake the system from any sleep state.

    powercfg -DEVICEQUERY wake_armed

The wake_armed permutation may be the most useful.

Probably just as well, considering the faster boot times with Windows 7.

I just received mine. The screen (WXGA+) was made by Samsung. I do not like the fact that black color looks dark purple.

I would not expect to see deep black on TN panel, but purple? - anything but purple for me.

I am wondering if other people experience the same, would LG screen be free of this problem?

Thanks a lot for any input!

Hmm...have you tried calibrating the display using Windows 7's tools *type calibrate into the start menu search box* along with the graphics card control panel for your specific card? (intel or nvidia)

I currently have the discrete card option (nvs3100).

Will there be any problems if i upgrade it to the latest driver available on nvidia's site. or should i just stick to dells own graphics driver which is 185 or something compared to nvidias 258?

I did calibration and it helped. I still see some purple in dark scenes. It is coming from the backlight.

I got the Samsung display (SEC5442) with my E6410 and was expecting it to compare poorly with the LG panel in my E6400. However, after tweaking the gamma slightly I reckon that it is as good.
