No. The GPU is integrated on the motherboard. The Intel GPU may work well enough for you with less power consumption and heat generation.

What is up with the audio shuttering with this beast? I listen to pandora a lot while I am working and at some times its almost unbearable to listen to. Anyone know of anything I might do to make it less noticeable?

BIOS A05 and the latest audio drivers help a lot. Don't expect it to completely go away though.

I've had no problem with hitting the trackpoint buttons but maybe that's because I use my first left finger to press the space bar.

The overall keyboard experience is good with the backlit one being slightly better because the thicker base (which contains the backlight) removes almost all keyboard bounce.

Many thanks for the input, John. Very interesting about the backlit keyboard having a thicker base. Great thing about forums like this is finding out little bits of info like that that you would never know otherwise.

I keep my thumbs fairly perpendicular (I think that's the right word) to the keyboard so if the spacebar dips flush or below the surrounding frame (or buttons), they risk hitting. Minor, but annoying. I wish the 6410 came with an option to not have the finger-nub setup. 5410 does..but it lacks the included 3 year warranty, and I dislike the silver colored palmrests haha.

Me too. I hit it/it's-buttons with my thumbs while typing and it moves the curser around.

I received my E6410 on Monday but had been to busy with work to do more than check that everything I ordered had arrived. Good thing, it was missing the second battery (6 Cell) which Dell overnighted to me.

I plan to do a fresh install this weekend and have a question, where is the Windows activation code physically located on the E6410? It's not on the back of the computer as I am use to. The computer had Windows XP Professional installed and also came with a 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate Disk. I was hoping to install Windows 7 64 bit using the Windows activation code and a generic Windows 7 installation disk.

Everything so far has checked out fine, it's in like new condition and I'm quite impressed.
