Nothing on Dell's main site yet...but let the death of 16:10 screens commence! :(

Weren't they already dead on the E series? only the M6500 still had a 16:10 I thought? Regardless I believe it's an issue that's really not that large of an issue, 120 pixels isn't worth saying 'I won't buy this laptop' over, especially when your other option is an MBP.

Anyway, I'm assuming my deciphering of it was right, and that the e6520/e6420 are debuting March 1st, can someone else verify that's what it says?

E6410 and E5410 remained 16:10 this generation. Not really a loss on the 14 inchers, since we're going from 1440x900 to 1600x900, without any loss in vertical pixels. Unless you like 1280x800 and don't want to part with 32 vertical pixels going to 1366x768. Which is still an upgrade from 1024x768 that was commonplace years ago. (though we mourn the loss of 1400x1050)

I've had 1280x800 in two laptops, I have an m1210 and an inspiron 6400.. 1280x800 can go away now heh. I wish my 12.1" was 1600x900 honestly, and the inspiron i wish was 1920x1080 (or their respective 16:10 counterparts) Anyway, I've noticed that the 14 inchers screens tend to be lower quality than the 15.6's 1080 screens. That's pretty much the only reason I've been looking at the 15s, other than that, they don't really offer anything over the 14's, provided the 14's get the quads.

Well it's nearly 2 AM EST, nothing added to Dell's site yet. Wasn't that Notebookcheck article originally in German? Maybe it was Dell Europe that has the 3/1 launch?

    I'd rather have 1280x800 on 12.1"

Looks like it's not going to happen. Oh well... Just makes me wait longer, I don't have the money yet anyway.

I noticed Intel has their 310 series SSD's... Can you plug those into the spot for the modem card on the latitudes? Or do you have to specifically get the m series that offers a mini pcie ssd?

Do the E6420s have 3GB SATA or 6GB?

It's not a loss of vertical pixels, but it is a loss of physical vertical screen space.

They'll use the first two ports (not affected by SB recall). Hence, they'll use SATA III (6).
