No need to use the complete care for that, just tell them to send u a new keyboard + the strip with the volume buttons in it. Faults like that are covered under even the most basic garantuee for business systems.

How do the keys pop off ? Do your nails get stuck beneath the keys or something ?

no. I think it's a defect prior to me owning the system. I dont have long nails. and I do not mess with the keyboard key's, From the looks of it. I think these keys have previously been messed around with before me.

PS. My brother just received his M4400. dell customer service say's you can add complete care for as long as your warranty period runs. So you can add it 2 years into owning your laptop of you have a 3 year warranty. For those considering it.

I've got people in the office that have gone through 5+ keyboards due to somehow popping off the keys and losing the plastic pieces (or breaking them). I think they hit the keyboard, or pick at the keys... I've never done it..

I just added complete care to my E6400.

It will almost be 1 year after I purchased the laptop which came with the 3 year NBD on site warranty.

Complete care is accidental coverage. They probably won't replace the system. It also depends on the type of warranty you have whether or not you will have to send the system to the depot or have someone come to your house.

Bottom line, complete care will cover this damage.
