Just a step by step tutorial showing how to fit the thermal pads needed and the Heatsink.Would be nice for others to follow and try.

Honestly not sure but I suspect that it would work with both; I've read a number of success stories regarding upgrades to Pascal in older Alienwares and other non-Dell systems (GeForce 1060 and 1070, not Quadro); aside from physical compatibility with the heatsink it seems that the main blocker is LVDS.

I'm looking for this too, not necessarily ES vbios, any other brand's vbios worth a try.

    Here's a vbios from a P3000 on a Precision 7720 version 86.04.3A.00.2D
    https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Tbuex9uwHiagk_OGqBth91WSPjCp8mcZ

Tried putting same gpu on a m6800 before upgrading to a p5000 and got a acpi_bios_error.

Of course using Dell vbios will end up with this. Need other brand's vbios.

I think Dell is purposely making their cards not work with their older laptops that's capable of supporting Pascal cards.
