I ordered my Latitude E4300 today, now waiting for it to be delivered. I will write a full user-review about it then~

I ordered my 4300 WITH the keyboard backlight. In my opinion it is a great feature when typing in a dark room and generally in dark areas. If you care about the battery life: just turn it off if you do not want it to leech off the battery. Unfortunately I can not tell anything about the typing experience yet..

edit: I just re-viewed these pics of the backlight problem.. I really hope my Dell will be so completely different.. *sigh*

Dell Canada said that if the keyboard is noisy, it not normal.
I know that Dell UK keyboard and Dell US/Canada is different. Many times UK gets the worst keyboard setup.

I was told that the manufacture of the keyboard is the same for the E6400 and the E4300. So I would expect the same plastic and everything. And no one seams to complain on the E6400, or the Presition M2200 (which is the same as the E6400 just teh top cover is different and better video card)

Well, wait till you get it before deciding. There's probably an element of subjectivity to it, but mine was twice as loud as my D820's keyboard. Trying them side by side, one after another.

huh...I am still undecided between the 13inch or 14inch... :(

Absolutely same here. In the end I decided to go for the 13,3" because of the a-bit-more-portable factor. I am unsure if this was the right decision, though. (regarding the reviews)
I will see when I get my E4300~

I think 13.3" is definitely better for a travel use because of the "under 2kg" weight :) This goes if you have a computer at home. If not, maybe 14.1" would be better...

There's one thing that totally kept me off the E4300 - it has only 2 USB ports. The E6400 has four.

So, nobody knows about the difference between the backlighted keyboard and the standard one? About typing experience or something else?
