In France representatives say 6-cell battery does not stick out of the E4300...

In the first post you can find pictures with a battery sticking out, and according to the listed specs it is a 6 cell one.

Here are some pictures: a) the 4300 with the six cell battery b) and c) next to my Panasonic R4.

    Weight of the 4300 with the 6-cell battery = 1815 g (4 lb)
Weight of the AC adapter and cord = 376 g (0.83 lb)

Wow, I absolutely hate that the battery sticks out like that.

I take my D410 everywhere I go, in a neoprene sleeve (SFbags.com, awesome sleeves and bags). That laptop would not fit at all well into a sleeve and as such would be useless for me.

I guess it has to be the 3-cell for me if I go with the E4300. Thanks for posting the pics - very helpful for me.

I really wish I loved the E4300. It has lots of promise (if you believe everything that the Dell promo material says), but the reports from actual users are just not very promising at all.

    Sigh ... the search continues.

Dell is preparing a big surprise for us, precisely for Europeans...
I'm surfing into Dell's sites (France,Germany,Italy) and let's see the prices for E4300... 1049€ (Before was 939, raising of about 110€)!!! Same spec,no new feature available as i can see!!!
I really hope this change is provisional, maybe for adding the Latitude ON full Feature, otherwise there wouldn't be a reason to make it more expensive than it already is!
I don't know if the same thing happened also for other countries...

There is an empty socket inside my "LatitudeON Ready, inc. software reader" .... There hardware isn't included.

Appologies. Just realised this thread is about E4300. I am talking about my E4200.

It could be price adjustment. For me I quickly order my Latitude E6400 as the Canadian dollar went down (so the price will go up), as for some magical reason the U.S currency (which probably in reality not worth more then the Lebanese pound) is going up (hence explains the never ending special at the moment on some latitude models)

So.. Latitude ON Reader isn't yet completely integrated?!
When I ordered mine, the homepage said "integrated Latitude ON Reader". So when I get my E4300 and it is not yet integrated.. they just can't do something like that- sell a notebook without a promised feature..

    Ah. Many times explained that...

Nope. Latitude ON Reader is fully integrated. They selling a notebook with promissed feature.
But you messed with Latitude ON - which is different thing.
