Thank you very much for letting me know and explaining it again.

    You welcome ;)
I think introducing so similar names for different solutions is not quite honest by Dell. As I wrote from my point fast-starting "reader" of the HDD is useless if it can't connect with the internet, and not worth of my money. So, I'm waiting with purchase for full L.ON... Someone in Dell *should* think this will be often messed. Or, someone thought that way especially (why it is hard to find exact description what are you purchasing...). Wouldn't be a problem, if full hardware will be "later" upgrade for free, but [this is not confirmed] maybe people must have pay for it additionally, if they want to upgrade. Feels like purchasing twice time the same thing (of course it is not, it is rather purchase in two instalments).

    cheers

    K.

I think it is a lot dishonest of Dell to advertise a significant feature which is only a promise. If Latitude ON never does materialize, or takes 18 months, are we going to get a refund? Yeah, right.

Dell must have some special clout with the regulators for it to flout truth in advertising laws the way it does. Between Latittude ON and the claimed weights for some of the E-series, I now have trouble believing anything I read in Dell's promotional literature. And these statements by Dell are not performance claims or exaggerated benefits - they are spec sheet product features. Disgusting approach, and not what I expect from Dell.

    like what?
I'm really curious now, too~ If it is something I do not have in my last-week-ordered E4300 and will not get added for free, I will just kick their *** ._.

    edit: .. I wonder..
This is what the german dell page says right now. And I am wondering if it said "Latitude ON" before oO
Somehow I think it was Latitude ON Reader.

that's what i was waiting for! And they better move on, otherwise i'll go for one of the sony vaio z series. Moreover they've raised the price of 100€, and i'm already tired of this "marketing lies"...don't know how long you'll waiting, don't know for what you're waiting exactly...don't know what you will get if you order it (flex keyboard? disgusting led panel? bad fixed bottom panel? ecc)

will the game worth or not the candle? :(

    Amletic doubts!:D

    Gentlemen,
Just got my E4300. The keyboard is quiet. There is no flex to the keyboard. It's great. The battery does stick out (six cell), but it doesn't seem too bad. The computer is fast to start-up and has been running in excel (in a closed loop calculation) for the last 5 hours without the charger hooked up and still indicates about 25 power left. The keyboard lighting is very good and can be turned off at any time.

I am very happy with this machine.
