I don't know for sure but I think you can. It comes down to whether they put the antennas in every machine whether or not it has a WWAN ordered already.

EVERYTHING is considered by dell to be a good enough reason to exchange if you work the guy enough. Let's just say that investing in complete care is a good business decision.

If it wobbles on a flat table then something is wrong. First try a different table to make sure.

Dell should have made space for some rubber mountings between HDD and chassis, but they did not. It might have caused a thicker chassis. 5400rpm HDDs seem to be OK for noise, but the 7200rpm versions have problems (my fix is a WD5000BEVT which gives me oodles of space and very good performance).

Have anyone tried it with a 720p TV?

Where can I find the update? Does the update slow the drive down?

    I can output 1280 x 720 and 1360 x 768 to the 1080p TV - I'm assuming it'll work for a 720p TV too.

The metal cover is actually flat on it own, it is just bent when attached to the laptop. I've tried it on a couple of surfaces.

Yeah, that's my worry. I've asked for a replacement. Hopefully this will fix the shape issue and maybe help with the drive noise. If not, I'll try to get them to put in a larger 5400 rpm drive.

In HD Tune I'm getting 15 ms access times with about a 68 Mb max tranfer rate. What are the equivalent stats for large 5400 rpm drives?

Has anyone been able to install this? I have tried and when I boot from the CD it does nothing.
