Sigh... after ordering a new ac adapter on Friday, it finally arrived today. Unfortunately, the actual power cord for plugging it in the power socket wasn't included. Furthermore, it now has 3 poles. (which sucks a bit as the adapter is bigger) Before I had one with 2 poles. Nice!
I phoned them immediately (I think I even now the technician now :D). He told me probably they sent me the 3 poles one because the 2 poles wasn't available, but he wasn't sure either. He also wondered why the power cord wasn't included. They are going to send me one.. I have to be at home tomorrow..
Geez, I've already been staying home for two days now (they told me it would arrive on Monday and today the technician is showing up to swap some stuff)! As I have to work tomorrow I bet UPS will arrive when I'm not home and then I'm one more day without power for my notebook. This sucks! :(

The solution is to disable hardware acceleration on flash player. Right-click on a flash player window and click on settings. Look for the tab with "enable hardware acceleration" and unselect it. This may have to be done more than once on different sites since it doesn't always seem to stick.

The technician was here, he only changed LED-cover, DVD-drive and WLAN-card. LED-cover finally isn't bent up any more, DVD-drive is the same model as before, but my WLAN-card got upgraded from a Dell 1510 to an Intel 5100. :)
Perhaps they are suspecting the sound problems to arise from the Dell card? But as many 5100-owners also have the problem I'm not sure.
Furthermore, he decided to not change chassis and palmrest, as it made no sense to him. I would have liked a new one (I suppose he also was a bit lazy ;) ), but on the other hand, never touch a running system.
All in all, I'm satisfied. Now only the power cord has to arrive (hopefully when I'm home) and then I'm set to test the audio crackling.

Silly question: Will those actually fit in the E6400? I didn't realize the bay used a "standard" size factor that you can plug and play with non-Dell parts.

Btw, does anybody know where I can purchase the Bluetooth 370 mini pci-e card for a better price than at Dell's? I have to pay about ~31 Euro. (Living in Germany)

Dell used 9.5mm height drives. Those from newegg are 12.7mm, so no chance for fitting inside the bay.

Please read my previous post on Windows Vista 32-bit... you want the 64-bit, else it is like trowing money out the window. If you don't have the option, call them and request it, they will give it to you.
