Try the different settings in the BIOS (see the attached).

I downloaded the latest drivers from laptopvideo2go.com. They also offer next to the download link something called "modded ini" file. It's a file that you replace right after extracting the setup, which contains the GPU names (which are exclusive to OEM companies) to allow the setup to install the drivers.
You should see a slight increase in performance right there.
I also installed Nvidia System Tool: http://www.nvidia.com/object/nvidia_system_tools_6.03.html
This allows me to overclock this video card. I over clocked it quiet a bit successfully. However, I am still experimenting. I'll write a thread on this forum section. My result now are: that it's way faster. Windows Experience index increase a lot on the GPU side (Gaming: 5.0, Aero experience: 4.0), however there are polygon drawing issue in GTA IV (like 1 or 2 black polygons that flicker at random times when you drive fast))... soooo I am still experimenting. I also need to execute some 3D mark benchmarks.

Yeah, I'm familiar with LV2Go...I just tried playing with GTA4 and with stock drivers, it's basically unplayable even on the lowest settings! Okay, I'll try that later, but why doesn't the official Nvidia Quadro drivers install?

What exact drivers did you download? I'm downloading 185.20 right now...I haven't really bothered to check in with the development of drivers, so I'm not sure what branch (17x, 18x, etc) is the better one.

Thank you for your reply. The firmware listed on Dell's website for Seagate HDDs is for those with G-shock protection (for example, ST9320421ASG). My drive does not have G-shock protection; its model number is ST9320421AS. Remember, I bought it off ebay; it did not come from Dell.

Do you think I should try and update the HDD's firmware anyway?

Any recommended games that can really do well on this laptop?

I'm burning to play Diablo or a fantasy/fighter/role-playing game, but not sure about spending some nice bucks to only find out the laptop's not a good match.

I've got the Nvidia 160 Quadro.

    Thanks in advance!!!
