On the left side column go under "Computer" > "Sensor"
If your fan turns, you should see "CPU" under "Cooling Fans". If the fan doesn't turn, then that item won't be visible.

To turn on the the fan, you can run Everest System Stability Test, which is found on the top menu, in Tools > "System Stability Test". Run it for a a minute or two and the fan should kick in.

NEW DRIVERS Just released, still hot from the oven!

    Control Point A13:
    * WLAN Support Enabled for Intel WiFi Link 5100 and 5300 devices
    * Support for Dell Wireless 5600 EVDO-HSPA Mobile Broadband

    IDT Sound card A06:
    * Added Support for SRS Premium Sound Enhancement
    * NEW IDT Sound Panel.
**> You can now change Mic in to Line in
**> Vista 64-bit extra sound option in teh sound panel now works.
**> Equalizer and more (I guess you can adjust the laptop speaker from there.. I can't test now it's too late, people are sleeping, but form the low level of the speaker I set now... all I can say its check out SRS options, it's sicks !
On the large headphones world, there is HUDGE improvement (from toilet to descent). I am amazed!
I see possibility to increase the base of the laptop speakers... (you can set them to small/large, and adjust stuff with SRS and equalizer... it's kinda late for me to try... but I'll tray during the day)

NOTE: I installed the drivers and now I lost my base on my headphone jack as well.. but I think it's because I had the headphone plug-in while installing the drivers. Play around with SRS and the equalizer and it will be back and unplug/replug it should come back, if you have that issue.

A new problem just cropped up on my computer and it's quite strange!

Whenever I use a bluetooth headset with Skype, the WiFi connection disconnects! Then I have to restart the network adapter using the switch on the side.

I tried reinstalling Skype, the Intel 5100 card drivers, the latest BT drivers and even the generic Windows BT drivers but none of them made any difference. The strangest thing is that this problem started 5 days after I started to use the BT headset and in that time, no changes were made nor were any new drivers installed.

    I have a Dell 370 BT card.

Does anyone have any solutions or suggestions?

That's where I thought it would show up. But it's weird because I can hear the fans running. They run all the time actually, even when I have absolutely no active programs.

Is this normal? From reading other threads on here I get the impression that there might be something wrong.

Could it be that it is the hard disk you are hearing? What kind of hard drive do you have?

Everest should tell you whether the CPU fan is on or not. If it is off, you will not see any reading when you go to the stability menu and click cooling fans.

what router are you using? bluetooth and wifi conflict in the air. you can also modify some settings on wifi to increase its power/decrease the likelihood of disconnecting. let me know what router, and i may be able to solve the problem for you.
