Dell has posted updated webcam (A06) and Intel graphics (A07) drivers. Also updated firmware for Samsung SSDs.

The webcam driver claims better power management while the Intel graphics driver claims some enhancements including Blu-ray support.

Well, I pulled the RAM out. And guess what...the BSODs have stopped. I did everything I did before when the first Bluescreen happened and it didn't happen. So I'm guessing its the ram then? But I'm a little confused that it would work with some things but not with others!?

Exactly as my OP--- It's not possible, thanks for confirming my original post.
The 1366x768 on my laptop is only available when hooked up through the analog to hdtv, when hooked up through hdmi it only allows me the 1280x780

@Theros123, you have faulty RAM or your RAM is not supported by the system. Yes I know, even when the specs of your RAM matches... it is known that some RAM just don't work with a system. I would strongly suggest to get the following brands where these companies do their best at making the most compatible memory: Corsair, OCZ, or G.Skill.

Also remember that when you add hardware onto a system, it's critical that you stress test that component and system before using the system to ensure that your system has maximum stability. For RAM test you can use memTest (freeware), or Vista memory test (insert Dell Windows Vista disk, boot from it, and look under "repair" section of the setup, for a RAM test)

Heh, Transcend isn't a no name company a A Data...plus the fact that several forum members actually verified that this specific piece of RAM would work. Even John said that a no name brand of RAM is working with some OZC Ram as well.

Is it possible that they're all wrong? Maybe this one unit is bad?

I have the LG WXGA+ display, and I noticed that the brightness reverts to middle (7/15) every time the display is turned off and back on, such as when closing and opening the lid. Is this normal behavior? I usually have it set to 2 or 3 clicks (plenty bright for this thing!), so it's just a bit annoying to have to reset it each time I open the laptop.

i have the same deal, i'm hoping dell releases an updated driver to fix this and save our settings. it's not mission critical, but it is a little annoying to have to modify settings every morning when getting my computing started!

I had this problem with my refurb... breathing into the display connector and re-seating it a few times (as you would with an N64 cartridge) seemed to solve the problem. Another member suggested re-installing DCP a few times. Your mileage may vary; mine originally reset itself to the lowest setting, not the middle setting.

Thanks -- good to know it's not just me! And I agree, it's a very minor inconvenience, but an inconvenience nonetheless, and one that seems like it should be an easy fix for Dell's software guys.
