What do you guys get in Vista System Ratings? In particular Graphics/Gaming graphics with NVS 160M?

Among the multiple times I have reinstalled drivers I always get between 3.3 and 3.5 for Aero Performance and 4.x (don't remember the exact value) for Gaming. Or the other way around.

That sounds more reasonable, for some reason I only get around 2.something, is there something wrong?

that isn't totally true. Security updates (the ones that show up as 'critical' under windows updates) will continue to be released until 2014. XP is so mature, most other updates aren't needed anyways.

with the caveat that i am running an e6500 (and thus different NVS 160M), I get 4.4 for both.

    6.2/6.2/4.4/4.4/5.9

I just came by to state that my E6400 does what I hoped for it to do (after overcoming sound crackle problems): works fine and fast. :)
Only thing that bothers me a bit: the scratches on the chassis from the screen lid. But well, those are looks and don't interfere with how the machine works. So it's not a big thing.

Where do these scratches from the chassis occur? On my brand new E6400 there are two small rubber pads on the chassis, which I believe are there to protect against potential scratches from the screen lid. Furthermore, I notice no difference in fan activity when using the laptop docked and undocked (as previously reported). In fact, the Dell salesman told me that Dell had fixed this issue since the first report..
