are you running win 7 32bit? If so, why? i8kfangui should not work at all on win7x64 or vistax64 because of the driver signing requirements.

anything below 100 C is not an issue for either the CPU or GPU. the hdd should remain below 50 or so, although anything under 60 should not be an issue if it doesnt stay at it. that said, you aren't going to be a happy camper with temperatures this high if you are using it as anything other than a desktop replacement. complain to dell about the high temperatures, especially if you get burned, or nearly. they'll send you a whole new machine.

and i can't tell if you are being overly dramatic for effect, or are actually freaking out. calm down.

Somehow I use this laptop as my desktop replacement and keep it on for hours.I am doing a research and I have to work with this for hours....and after hours...my hands feel nearly burned !
The Problem is I have not purchased this machine in a country with Dell Support !!! I am all alone to myself.
any suggestion for solving this issue on my own?

My laptop is turn on about 24/7, and it's not hot at all.
Can you please tell us where exactly on the palmrest area it is the hottest.

Also, turn off the system, earth (ground) yourself by touching a pipe that touches the ground floor or washing your hand form a tap, remove the battery. And then open the bottom panel (1x center screw. That one is not supposed to be removed, it stays attached with the panel once unscrewed).

    Then slide the panel out.

From there make sure the heat sink is properly installed and screwed in. (to tight too hard the screws).

Another strange thing, is that normally when the CPU/GPU overheats is slows down. Do you have teh sun pointing down at the laptop? try going somewhere else.

The CPU temperature is a little on the warm side, but not unreasonable for the T series. You might be able to drop the temperature by following the Undervolting Guide.

I share your concern about keeping the nVidia GPU cool. The E6400's cooling system is better than the M1330's, but we will need to wait a couple of years before there can be certainty that the NVS 160M does not suffer from the packaging deterioration.

45C for the HDD is also warm. My HDD (Hitachi 5K500.B) is at 37C in an ambient temperature of 26C.

    Thank you for solution.

well, the Left Palm rest area is much more hotter than the right one
and my laptop is not under the sun light !
but the GPU fan is working on 100% speed and GPU temp on idle is around 50 C and then when I open programs...it goes up to above 60s.

yes...on the Left side it's hotter!
regarding undervolting...has anyone did this before on this machine with T8500 CPU?

DAMN NVidia and Cheap DELL! I really regret why I didn't go for T400.
    right now...sth odd happened...
while I was using my PC to reply u, MY Laptop was on ScreenSaver and not doing anything( Idle- CPU usage 0~2%)
The GPU reached the 70 C degree (with GPU FAN speed is 100%, as GPU-Z shows!) and then a fan kicked in till the CPU temp came down to 40 and GPU to 52 C!

but the question is what brought it up !??? It seems the screen saver caused that!
GPU core clock = 169 MHz
    GPU memory Clock 100 MHz
    Another ODD issue....!
    just now....
The GPU core and memory clock went up to
500 Mhz and then to 250 MHZ! to the 169/100 number again!

my Seagate HDD is now at 42 C.

I have done a test on my E6400 T9400 CPu with Everest. I will post it
