Well, and I begin to dislike this "technician".

He didn't call yesterday even thought I was waiting for him and after calling the support-hotline I got the info that they ordered the screen because it wasn't in stock and that he should have called me.

Now they promised me that he should come today... well 3,5h left till beer o' clock and till now no call and ofc NO technician.

Called the support 3 hours ago ... he said there are still problems with dispatching the part and he would write me an mail as there is nothing detailed written in the system.

Nothing happened - great! Technician didn't call, support doesn't write mails nor contacts me by phone. :(

Thats odd, i have not had any problem when i called support. my old XPS was fixed right everytime.

I do not have even close the the bleeding you have on yours. So i would not say it is every screen for sure. I have a little but way less then my E6500 LED had. Almost to the point of not noticing it.

Well I even called and talked with the support today AGAIN and he promised me to look into it and contact me alter on regarding it because there werent many infos in their system attached.

No one called, no one wrote me a mail, no one came. I'm kind of ... now :( ...

On top of that I noticed that my screen flushed black today for about 0.5s twice. Looks like there is dying something else? GFX-Card?

Have had CPUID running for a day now while playing various demos to see how its working under more heavy circumstates.

    ACPI: Idle 41 °C (106 °F), Min 40 °C (103 °F) and Max 68 °C (153 °F)
    CPU: Idle 34 °C (93 °F), Min 32 °C (89 °F) and Max 62 °C (143 °F)
    GPU: Idle 51 °C (123 °F), Min 50 °C (121 °F), Max 87 °C (188 °F)
    HDD: Idle 37°C (98 °F), Min 36 °C (96 °F), Max 43 °C (109 °F)

€: updated a typo in cpu max temp

Should be pretty ok statistically wise or?

Come down, what should they do when they don't have the screen yet? The RGB-LED screens are all sold out. I had to wait about a week to exchange my RGB-LED screen. You can work with your notebook, it's more a cosmetic issue... the good news, when you have to wait, you'll probably get a new screen, not a refurbished..

Temps look normal. You can ask the Dell guy to exchange the thermal paste with arctic silver 5 or MX2 (you need to buy this) it may improve the GPU temps a bit.

If you run into problems after contacting Dell support: Dell escalation.

Could also be some software quirk. I'd wait a bit and observe this prior to taking any actions, as that could change the behavior again, which could make it harder to find out the reason.

Looking good. I get up to 92 °C on my GPU. I'd be interested in the specs of your laptop, would you mind sharing them? Especially what CPU you got.

Did you do this or know of anyone who has done it? I'm still wondering if I should call Dell to ask if they could send a technician just to replace my thermal paste. I could do this myself, but I don't want to loose any warranty. :(
