*or* the Chinese market prefers the TrueLife screens (even on the high-end stuff), supported by what I *think* I see based on a translation of the 6500 configuration screen. Yes, I am bored...

True enough. I went to the translated version of the M6500 page and it correctly translated anti-glare for all of the options.

I just don't see Dell putting out anything but anti-glare screens on their Precisions unless they were a special edition like the Covet or maybe the touchscreen models. Then again, every new Latitude model with a multitouch display option and the XT3 has a matte touchscreen (link) so who knows.

It's good to have as an option for people who need it, but when a good chunk of the Ships-Fast preconfigs come with 1366x768 then in my opinion that's when it starts to become a nuisance.

However, right now the only M4500 Ships-Fast config has 1920x1080, but a while ago in the Lenovo Outlet, the only W510 I could find was a (non-refurbished) pre-config with 1366x768.

This should/better be about it for the x500 run:

"Hurry and save, free graphics upgrade offer expires 4/27/2011 or while supplies last"
