    1. Not entirely sure. I personally like the looks of the M4600 better but I don't know which one's built better.
    2. Still waiting on reviews of the battery life with the M5950
    3. M4600 almost certainly
    4. We'd have to wait for a review

Plus, the W520's 1080p screen is better than the M4600's (not counting IPS)

When it's 100-200$ difference like with Lenovo, I can accept that, but when the M6600 is 1200$ more expensive at a basic-average config, while other systems like AW M18X are actually cheaper in Canada,...WTH??

Just from the official site :
Precision Mobile Workstations | Dell UK
    Which says :
But problem for the moment is that it cannot be configured. When you select RAID config with mini SSD boot disk, it says there's an error.
Same thing when you try it on M6600.
I guess the Dell online configurator is not yet fully operational, still have to wait for that configuration.

Remember that to be able to configure RAID 0 or 1 with the M4600, both drives need to be the same capacity. So with that said you would need to configure it with a 128GB SSD MiniCard AND a 128GB 2.5" SSD.

You wrote it? Then you are an employee of dell?

@ kasimodem: try out the german configurator on dell.de, even if you dont understand the language. you will see, that it is different to the english one in the hdd section. so i think, all the configurators don't work well. :(

No you can't, it doesn't work for the moment :
    - For the M4600 it should allow you to select a mini SSD boot card and one 2.5 HDD of your choice.
    - For the M6600 it should allow you to select a mini SSD boot card and two 2.5 HDD of your choice (same or not).
I've tried many Dell sites across Europe, problem is the same, so we have to wait for Dell to fix its configurator.

EDIT : just tried on the US site and it works as it should be everywhere else : http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/precision-m4600/fs

Seems like the 2000M might be better for gaming and most CAD work based on benchmarks even if it is DDR3. For the price it costs to upgrade from 250 to 500GB, you can buy a 750GB 7200RPM drive.

    Edit: or a 1TB 5400RPM.
