Why do you think it's 3-4 hours? It was said in this thread that with Optimus disabled in the BIOS, the machine still gets around 5.8 hours and Nvidia's Fermi GPUs are more power-hungry than the Radeons/FirePros.

Optimus will switch from integrated graphics to the Quadro when you need the graphics power and back to integrated when you're just browsing the web or idle. This way the Quadro is only consuming power when its needed.

Thank you! The "help me choose" link is not available in The Netherlands , The UK site doesn't show the options on the M4600 yet and the US site does mention only an IPS RGB but no non-ips rgb 1920x1080 screen.

I am wondering which screen the (dutch-option) 15.6in Full High Definition (1920X1080) RGB LCD Panel would be.

That would be my best guess too, but that screen is marked with WLED and the option mentions a RGB-screen.

    Look here:
Dell - Help Me Choose: Displays

72% gamut should be very right for fuel sRGB presentation! :D

And the standard FHD display in M4600 with 60% gamut is also fine. If you need and can control the wide gamut IPS display, I would take it. But have to see it in action - fear to get too much saturated colors in standard applications like web browsing, jpgs...

    Best, Walter

m6600 is still listed as 1920 x 1200 pixels. If only that was true :(

The only thing I'd fear about the IPS display is its measly 210nit brightness rating.
