According to Dell-chat the full hd rgb option in the netherlands is the ips screen with 300 NITS, 500:1 contrast and a pixel pitch of 0.179mm

    Hi,

i am just curious to find out more info about Quadro 4000M, in terms of raw performance. Looks like it's based on GF104 and it's slightly quicker than 470M / slower than 485M, but how does it compare to ATI M8900?

    hi,

i just ordered my m6600 but i noticed they changed something on my order whithout telling me... i had setup a 128GB Mobility Solid State Drive and they changed it to 128GB Solid State Drive Mini Card + Additional Hard Drive : 250GB Serial ATA (7.200 Rpm)

more storage i agree... but is the ssd mini card as fast as the mobility ssd?

Yes, the 210 nits brightness does not sound very good to me for IPS screen but contrast is excellent. Maybe that would balance out the relatively lower brightness level but hope havotex or someone who knows can clarify for us.

I asked havoctex about the screen and was told that the brightness ratings are the LOWEST values that a user may encounter. Most of the IPS displays should be much brighter.

5.8hrs is probably achieved with WiFi off and min brightness. I may be wrong though. Plus, I was talking about the M6600. Even a more power hungry 485M consumes less juice at idle than the 6970M (M8900). At load the situation changes though.

With optimus enabled it should be pretty much across the board unless you are gaming or stress testing.

Sorry if this info has been posted, but I searched and didn't come up with anything.

Does the 4600 have a Track Stick or Track Point like the Thinkpad? I remember the older models having them but in looking at the photos on Dell's site I don't see one anywhere.

    Thanks!

It does. It's just black instead of red so it blends in with the keyboard. The 360 view gives the best image of it.

No reviews out yet on either M4600 or M6600?
