Don't worry, Dell's queue is notoriously jacked up.

I have pre-production on my My Account page, but the actual order status says In Production.

I am leaning towards the pre-production unfortunately:(

M4600 should have offered middle resolution like 1600x900. 1920 is too high for 15.6" screen; and 1366 is just too low.

I have an EDD date of 06/09 for my M6600 order that I placed last night. This is going to be a fun toy. :D

Do these come in different colours at all or just the one colour shown?

Reading Intel's latest SB B03 specs shows ports 00 (HDD1) and 01 (HDD2) are in fact SATA-III. The additional 4 ports, including the optical, are SATA-II. I would still not consider this to be a bottle neck since actual transfer speeds are still trying to catch up the with the existing standard.

You are "down under" so your stuff should come from the Asia factory directly and that may take additional logistics time. I am about 90 miles from where the USA (west coast) distribution takes place. Regardless, I would believe all of our orders will be dispatched a little sooner than the estimated EDD's.

Until then... we will all just.... w a i t...

I'm thinkin about buyin a m6600 in the us through my brother and bringing it home to Europe, Hungary. I never had a dell so I would have some questions:

    1. Is dell warranty international? We do have dell in my country, but there are no online configuring for their models by us, you can only buy preconfigured.

    2. Do I have to buy second hdd to use the second hdd slot? Dell's hdd prices are preatty bad, but I do not want to hunt for some kind of part I would need for the second internal hdd if I dont order it from them.

    3. Is there more configuration posibilities if you call them? Like changing the keyboard (to international or even hungarian if dell has that), or windows (from english I would need ultimate, in hungarian pro is fine).

My brother has not too much time and I want him prepared, and I dont think a call for us dell would go nicely from hungary :)

    Thx for helping me.

Today just contacted Dell about M4600 Quadro graphic card on MXM module. I requested them to check and recheck for confirmation. After sometimes they call back and give their "definite" answer that M4600 Quadro graphic card is onboard and not replaceable zzz...

When will the service manual for M4600 be ready, that would be an easy reference.
