    http://forum.notebookreview.com/del.../637052-best-gpu-overclocking-tool-m6600.html

    Here you go.

I had FX 1800M on M4500 before which only oced about 20-25%. When I had 2000M on M4600, I thought it was amazing that it got 40%.

Now with the superior cooling and ample power, the M6600 4000M pulls 60% core oc default voltage, very stable! does not exceed 80c in furmark!

Keep in mind that if you oc M8900, the 3dmark11 score will virtually be the same with 4000M oc. But with quadro you can driver support and optimization. I highly recommend the 4000M and I just ordered another one to use as VM and Remote access.

Not an easy way to do this. The ideal solution is to install Windows and apps on the C: drive which is your mSATA, and hold your data on a regular hard drive. Fast I/O of the SSD will help out much more with booting up your OS and launching apps than it will with opening whatever data files you have (documents, videos, whatever).

Anyway, if you're bothered by having such a small system drive, another possible solution would be to install Windows and apps on a regular hard drive and set up ReadyBoost on the mSATA SSD. This will have the SSD act as a cache drive for your system and possibly increase read performance. I haven't tested this to see how much it really helps (most people use ReadyBoost on slower USB drives or SD cards); I'd be interested to hear any results though.

I just ordered my third precision, but I was wondering if there is a way to get some discount on it. I purchased them all separately so I am not sure if that bundle discount can apply. I know how to haggle and all, and was able to get about $1000 off, since I bought batteries and ac adaptors and such as well. Any ideas? These machines are seriously costing me fortune...

Hey guys. Need urgent help regarding M6600 +Quadro 4000m.
I have lots of issues with optimus:
    1. When optimus enabled I can't get my tv to work with HDMI. M6600 does detect both cards . When I enter Nvidia control panel I don't see all the options, I can only control colors and 3D apps managing and all other usual options dont appear. I tried the newest Nvidia driver and the driver on Dell's site.

    2. When I disable optimus, I get all the options in Nvida control panel but my screen suddenly starts flashing and thats it I have to make a restart. When I enter Bios my screen also stucks -this issue appears only when Optimus is disabled.

I tried flashing both A6 and A7 bios nothing helps.
What can I do?Hope I won't regret buying this Laptop.

For an M6600 connected to a docking station, does anyone know if the computer sends out audio signals over the DVI port?

I understand that DVI ports as a rule do not have audio, but I know that some computers send out the audio over the ports anyway, and you can use it with a DVI-to-HDMI adapter and get usable audio on the other end.

We'd like to try hooking up a TV to a dock, and we were wondering if we could use a DVI-to-HDMI adapter on the dock (since there is no HDMI port on the dock) and get audio.

This is interesting. I used readyboost years ago on USB key and it helped with VMs. I can't say I noticed any other advantages.

    I have a newbie question.

How warm does your m6600 get on the bottom? Mine gets pretty warm. Not too hot to touch but pretty warm. I have it sitting on a board in my lap to it can breath and it warms up the board. I have a nvidia 4000 gpu, Will having optimus disabled cause it to be warmer than with it enabled.
