Anyone try a similar test with the 5010 -- or is everyone trying to avoid the nvidia price gouging?

Also, what made the folks decide on this route versus the 8760w from HP?

    1) The price wasn't the huge factor. I was actually afraid that the system cannot handle the heat. And 4000M's performance is good enough.

    2) Warranty

The 5010 with stock clocks is slightly faster than the 4000 overclocked to the edge of stability. Have not tried overclocking the 5010.

Still testing the 5010. Not sure of what it is capable of.

Anyone try putting in a nvidia 580m gtx / IPS combo to see if it would work?

Hey everybody, I'm looking at purchasing the m6600 in a couple weeks. My question is whether I can purchase a 128GB msata SSD aftermarket and then install it? Also, where is the best place to buy an aftermarket msata SSD?

Solved the problem. I installed fresh Windows 7 copy that I had , then installed Nvidia driver while Optimus is disabled. Everything worked great afterward, I was so relieved . I yet to determine whether other driver (not a graphic card driver) was causing this issue or the supplied Windows 7 pro by Dell.

    1.) Samsung SSD 830
    2.) Crucial M4
    3.) Intel SSD 510

or the mSATA SSD listed below.

    No problem at all.

I bought this one for my Precision M6600:

When you receive your M6600, could you tell us, if you experience green or pink tints on white and grey colors in the corners of your screen?

As to SSD, I cannot advice anything, because I don't use it; for me disk which can be written only couple of thousands times is not reliable enough. :)

The only way to get audio to HDMI from the dock is with a DP to HDMI adapter. The DVI port does not route audio.

Sure. Not a problem at all...is this a common issue for the RGB displays?

Thinking about going the mini card route for OS etc.
