Hello all. I'm confusing myself with all the new ways to connect displays up.

How would I go about connecting 3 displays at 1920x1080 to my M6600 w/ M8900? Thanks!

Without a dock, you can plug a monitor with VGA, one with DisplayPort and the last one with HDMI.

By summer, M6600 will be more than a year old. A new model around this time would be consistent with Dell's lifecycle for the Precision notebooks.

It all depends really on Ivy Bridge. I have a feeling they might stick with the design and just swap the motherboard like they did with the M6400 to the M6500.

Did anyone ever have any success with this? My replacement (2nd) has an LG screen and flickers at lower brightness settings. I may just swap my current AU Optronics panel over to it as I did last time. The LG isn't bad, but I can't live with the flicker.

^^Why did you swap an AU panel for an LG?
Also, I had two LG replacements and it was flickering bad, then Dell built me a new system with the same LG and the problem solved 99%. Once in a blue moon I'd still get a very low flicker but sometimes never. Could be the crappy motherboard they're re-using for new system builds.

I swapped the LG in the first replacement for the AU in the original one. The AU doesn't flicker one bit, which is why I swapped it. The replacement was to fix an unrelated problem.

This replacement is because they forgot vPro on the original replacement. It's a brand new machine with an LG panel which flickers. I'll probably just move the AU panel I have now to the new replacement and go on with my life.

vPro is only for AU panels? Would it help if you install it with the LG?

vPro is available with M6600 with LG panels.

The fix Mano spoke of is this:
"The install of a new A01 rev LG panel. Also, ensure that 40Hz refresh rate is not used. Lock to at least 60Hz"

The issue with vPro was unrelated. Neither of my replacements were due to the LCD.
