It's 60Hz and it flickers. No idea if it's an A01, I suppose the only way to tell is to pull it.

I found a dead pixel on the new LG, that probably sealed it's fate to be returned with the current laptop.

Before I return it, does anyone have an ics color profile for the LG? I'd like to do a fair side by side comparison. The LG seems brighter and a bit warmer compared to the AU using Bokeh's color profile.

Tried this already... disabling Optimus resolves the issues with Photoshop, that recognizes the quadro without any problems, but the "flickering" while rendering multiple effects issues in Premiere still happen...
Bokeh, have you found a solution ?

    UPDATE:
After trying a bit here and there, I have focused the cause that keeps flickering my rendering when transition effects are applied on different items placed on the timeline in Premiere.
If I activate ANTIALIAS quality in an effect applied to ONE object placed on the timeline, no flickering happens during rendering.
If I activate ANTIALIAS quality on TWO OR MORE EFFECTS applied to TWO OR MORE OBJECTS placed on the timeline, layerd one on another, flickering happens during rendering (more specifically, the effects applied "combine" on each element layerd in the timeline)...

    zut,
When you disable optimus your laptop screen works?
Because when I turn off Optimus my laptop screen is black and have to power on several times till the picture appears on the screen.

    Hi Chaps,

I am looking into a M6600... the main thing that attracts me is the full 1080p multi touch screen. Can anyone give me an idea on the quality of the touch screen and the type of screen covering?

Is it too much to expect gorilla glass? :) I assume so.... can someone let me know how sturdy it is and how much the screen bounces when you use it.

Is it capacitive? like modern smartphones?
How many touch points are there?

Also - anyone know any good deals on at the moment?

    Cheers

As far as from disabling Optimus on my system, i have no issues whatsoever, everything runs pretty smooth.
I keep having Premiere issues, but as i have said before, these do not depend on Optimus being on or off....

It is capacitive. Windows reports 4 points. It does deflect but not very much. To me it feels like a thin sheet of glass.

After comparing the AUO and LG panels with calibration profiles found in this thread I decided to keep the AUO, and not because of the LG flicker alone. The AUO isn't quite as bright but it does retain more detail. At first the LG seemed much brighter, then I found the Premier Color app was running and jacking up the contrast. Once I really looked it was obvious.

Please keep in mind I didn't create either of these profiles and they were created by different forum members.
