Check out Multibeast - step 5.
tonymacx86 Blog: xMove + MultiBeast: Install OS X 10.7 Lion on any Supported Intel Core 2 or Core i based PC

I would suggest trying it on a VM or Vbox first. Haven't tried hackintosh myself. Yet to see the reason why and don't have a free machine to experiment without jeapordizing my work. :(

OSX is a much more superior OS with less defects minus all the bloat of Windows.

More useful links. Let me know how it went.

I purchased an M6600 last month and finally got around to setting it up and playing with it a bit.

Everything seems to be working fine, but the latch, especially on the right side, seems to be of poor quality and does not sit flush when closed. Is this normal, or did my parts get warped somehow?

Here's an image I took showing the space on the right vs left side (the gap on the right is bigger):

I also took a few videos showing how it springs back up when I attempt to make it sit flush with my finger :

Since we have had several of the M6600, I can say for certain that the side to side gap can vary quite a bit on the M6600. Our last new M6600 latch pulled the center portion down too much, and each side bowed up. IMO, the fit and finish of the M6600 needs some work.

Our old M6300 has a much more substantial feel about it and a better fit to it. The quality of the M6300 plastics are better too, more like a Latitude laptop of that era. It shows very little wear after 4 years of being used quite a bit.

I'm having trouble with a USB3 Western Digital external drive. Connect up, and it does a speedy tsf, disconnect and reconnect the drive and it runs at USB2 speeds. I see some chat out there about flaky USB3 ports. the same drive works fine with my desktop PC

I know the L702X had/has issues with it's USB3 ports based on the same controller. Unfortunately I don't know if they were ever resolved.

So it has that same sort of (or better) diffusion effect behind the glass?

perhaps the USB3 controller does not like this particular USB3 device.

no, when I connect my tuner to USB 3 and I'm watching something, from time to time I get some symbolic picture artifacts. It's probably connected with power.

I have the exact same problem -- I've had them replace the entire top part of the unit (including LCD panel), which made it a bit better, and then the entire bottom casing, which made it still a bit better, but not perfect. It's still got a bit of a warp on both sides, but at least it's even.

Problem is that I don't recall if this was always a bit warped from the beginning, or if it became warped somewhere along the way...
