    LG. No flickering issues have been reported, those are pretty much limited to the standard LG panel.

    I had my LCD replaced by Dell a few weeks ago. I had a crappy Chi Mei with a dead pixel. I was told by Dell Mano-G (I think that is his username) that I could send it in and I would get a LG or AUO panel as a replacement. I was told that Dell quit using Chi Mei.

    After re-installing Windows for my son on his M6600, I checked the panel with HWiNFO64. It states that I have a Chi Mei 173HGE panel. Thanks Dell, I was wondering why my head started aching staring at this crappy screen. Can I call Dell for another panel?

    Yes you may. It was decided that the Chi Mei doesn't live up to the "premium panel guarantee" that the M6600 comes with. They shouldn't be using it anymore (complaints about machines arriving with it have pretty much died down).

    HI guys It's been a while since I visited this thread.

    Well The system was working fine until a couple days back dead pixels started showing up. So, I asked for a screen replacement. And might I add that the service this time around really impressed me :) . They shipped the panel within 24hrs and the person that exchanged the screen was very prompt. So after the screen was installed this afternoon I noticed that the color reproduction was better, It is an LG panel like before but this one says RGB color. Can some verify and tell what their panel type is??

    That's how I came to know the type of the screen. What I want is someone to verify whether their panel type says WLED or RGB color.

    P.S. - Can spot a dead pixel on this panel as well. :(

    My E6520 has a Samsung RGB color. Check again on HWiNFO, it should mention whether WLED or RGB, not sure which one is better

    The 3M MicroFibre or any SLR Camera lense or Spectacles (e.g. Oakley silk bags) is ok.

    Always have two cloth. (1) One to pre-apply the LCD Lense Cleaning Liquid on the cloth. and (2) Then Use the dry micro-fibre to wipe and buff the screen. Follow a vertical and horizontal swipe. Don't use circular. You will get the light circular scratch effect like on a car.

    @CHRIS_83

    It says RGB color. And RGB panels are generally better than WLED panels. My last one was a WLED panel. The reason i'm asking this is I'm not sure whether RGB panels for M6600 are in circulation.

    I have an Intel 310 series 80gb mSata drive here that I have been testing in the M6600. While the performance is much better than a platter based hard drive, the Samsung 128gb mSata that the M6600 came with pretty much trounces it. I will post more detailed numbers and comparisons later.
