Use IE (does not work with firefox 10) on this link from Intel to auto detect the 6300n & HD3000 GPU.
    Intel® Driver Update Utility

And you can try this link below for the 82579LM NIC, they have a generic driver from Intel. Not sure why the site is not able to detect it. Maybe custom for Dell. I get this error from Windows7 - no-internet access warning when I had a network incident in office. Happens randomly. Decided to switch back to original Dell drivers (use the dell driver detect utility from web). No network router/switch problems in office yet with dell drivers to see if Dell drivers also causes this no-internet access problem. Dell tech says it's a known problem even in their dell office which i called, with standard drivers - they say it's a Windows 7 bug (very hard to reproduce).

Thanks bokeh, i did get the i72760QM. I hope it is faster at rendering than the amd, but really it will be fine either way i am sure. I just couldn't understand why it cost $300 more and wasn't superior to the amd.

A lot of people have problem with LG flickering, what should they do?

I noticed throttling on my FirePro M8900. It cuts nominal GPU core from 680MHz to 400Mhz in these situations:

    1) on battery only
    2) during charging baterry (with 240W Slim!)

    I wrote about that here:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/del...0712-m6600-owners-thread-410.html#post8380154

Bios updated to A07. Could anyone with FirePro check these GPU clocks during 1) and 2)?

I've been happily chugging away on my new M6600 for almost two months, now. I got the M8900 because I'm not doing a whole lot of rendering - mostly, I just wanted the Eyefinity and the touchscreen. 2860qm, and for $500 or so I got 32gb 1600Mhz RAM from Crucial (and don't listen to what they say about 32gb 1600, it's magic - works fine!) A couple of those discount 27" HP IPS monitors and a 24" Dell rotated, and I have myself a pretty sweet design/development machine! Of course, had to get a docking station to get all the screens going. Oh, and if you get the touchscreen, figure that the first thing you're going to want to do is nuke the installation and start fresh - the factory install sucks, and you'll likely need to calibrate your touchscreen so it doesn't randomly make the cursor click all over the screen every few minutes. I also didn't bother to re-install the "Premier Color" app, it really seemed to enjoy causing trouble.

Anyway, I wanted to share that I found the coolest laptop bag - the M6600 fits snuggly in it, and it is the closest color match to anything in the known universe I've been able to find so far (Bokeh, SOLO calls the color "Espresso", in case you wanted to update your review :). Best part is, I found mine at my local Ross for $25.

    Here's the info:
SOLO Studio Collection Industry Laptop Messenger, 16" (yes, I know, but it fits!)
    Style LVL530-3
    SKU: 030918006108

The massive flat brick charger fits snugly in the front pocket, and I stash my mouse one of the roomy zippered pockets. That leaves a twin pocket for whatever else, plus some room in the main compartment for papers and such. Looks pretty stylish, too! Just thought I'd share!

Dell gave us a new M6600 and sent the old one to the lab to figure out what was causing it. This was after a long story of different M6600 with different problems.

I found Your story on previous sites of this thread....You have got new M6600 but with AUO panel. So I suppose that for this moment only AUO panel is solution for flickering LG.

And I think that Dell should replace it for free. I remember they did that in the past with CMO panels that weren't "Premium Quality".

Is flickering LG panel Premium Quality? I'm sure not!

    WBR, Alex.

PS. He was the first on Ebay, who started selling uj-252.
