I checked two m6600 and both have no movement in the power plug.

Not quite what I meant, though I see that my statement may be a little confusing. He was asking about using the Intel GPU. He has the IPS screen and the ATI Firepro. To use the Intel GPU, he'd have to dump both, as each individually prohibits the use of the Intel GPU.

Right, in order to use Intel WiDi feature on my Intel 6300 wireless card with the NETGEAR PTV2000-100NAS Push2TV HD-TV Adapter, I have to use the integrated Intel HD graphics.

I am not able to switch to the Intel HD graphics because I have the IPS display, is what I understand.

The M6600 DC jack/receptacle is not directly attached to or part of the system board. See below -

Like many Dell models, the DC jack module slides into a cavity on the rear of the magnesium base assembly [frame]. The module is then secured by the top retaining plate, which is anchored to the same base assembly by a M2x3mm fastener [screw].

I suspect your tech did not reattach the retaining plate or he forgot to tighten the screw down all the way. It is probably an unintentional oversight.

Yep I contacted Dell and they are sending out an engineer on Monday to replace it again. Thanks for the info.

Ah Ha thanks for the piccy I will show the engineer that comes to fix it. He can level the top deck between the speakers that the other guy managed to make a 2mm depression as well hopefully.

    Welcome :)

Here is another pic showing what may be causing the speaker bump/depression for you. If you (or the tech) do not lay the LCD cable flat and in its small channel correctly, it will push up on the left speaker area and once the palmrest fastener between the speakers is tightened, it will cause that small bump/depression look.

    Hope this helps-
    Scott

Ha! I think the engineer is going to be very impressed (and possibly a little worried) when you show him such great/informative pics from Scott_RC-TEK. He might think it is an internal test of his skills!! Anyway, hope you get it all fixed.
