I'd like to confirm that I got the same memory (after seeing your post) and it works perfectly. All 32GB of them. So thanks. :)

Also should note that Newegg lowered the price to a new low a couple weeks ago and Amazon quickly price matched. $120 at the moment. :)

    Cheers!

Oh and my subscore for Memory ended up being "just" 7.8. BAH!!! :p

    Cheers!

I installed mine. It only goes in one way (look at the manual picture, line up metal connectors with ridges on wire), and yes, it doesn't have a nice tactile "click" like a sma connector or something with a nice solid head on the connector since the wire is kind of flimsy.

What I did was push it in gently around the wires using my nail on the back of the plastic part of the connector. If it's in properly it will not easily come out.

I use the optical drive, when inside the laptop and now externally using eSATA from a dock. I haven't experience any problems, but only when I used Intel AHCI drivers for the Crucial C300 SSD which causes freezing and crashing. Yours does seem odd, as I would just presume it would need reconnecting as it may be loose.Aswell as the eSata cable to be replace? Could also be a driver issue where it would signal the SATA ports into PowerSaving mode at the wrong time.

new owner of a outlet m6600 here just acquired and like to ask about a potential issue i may have.i dont have much experience of screen tech so im asking the experts.

i have the lg ips panel and every now and again the screen becomes washed. a bit hard to describe best example i can give off the top of my head is: when you use a smartphone and you have the screen timeout set to say 15secs, at about 14 secs the screen will first dim then go off. this is what happens with my panel, the screen dims (whites become grey and other colours become dull/deeper)and it stays that way for a few seconds ,sometimes correcting itself and sometimes i have to reload the webpage or something for it to go back to normal. (just to clarify this issue isnt connected with the laptops screen timeout it just happens randomnly).

is there a light sensor in settings somewhere thats coming into play or is this a known issue with these types of screen? and if it is, is there a known fix? or have i not set things up properly in the panel settings?

it is really annoying and not something i expected from something of this quality. and to be honest its not something i can live with.

Never encountered such a problem. And did not hear about it.
In my memory (from the beginning of this thread) on this issue no one wrote.
Most likely you have a hardware problem. Or blame the video card drivers (less likely).

    Best Regards,
    Alex.

PS. M6600 has no light sensor.

I'm too fresh on this forum to PM, so I hope this message finds its way to you Devillucifer.

With the M6600 and a Quadro 3000M, would you strongly suggest the GTX 580M upgrade?

Notes on stability? Should I make the jump to flash it? What is the best driver? (and is the driver updatable using Nvidia's installation, or will I have to make changes)

My M6600 is also a touch screen.

I'm a pretty advanced user; I use various video editing and audio suites, but my primary usage is Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Toon Boom, Maya and Nuke.

Any additional suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Probably the windows setting that dims the display after so many minutes of being idle..

Yeah it does sound like the windows dim function, what DallasGeezer has stated
    Go into
Control Panel > Power Options > Edit Plans Settings
    Dim the displayer = never....
