Finally got the RAM and the SSD up and running, big thanks to Scott, rcb, and tijo. Sorry if I'm forgetting anyone else that helped.

I do still have one problem though that I was saving till after I got everything else resolved. The USB 3.0 on the right side (the red ones) do not seem to be working, at all. This was actually an issue when I first opened the computer but I assumed it was just missing drivers so I held off on looking into it till now. I looked online and apparently the M6600 has a few USB 3 issues, but I haven't found any resolutions to the problem. I read one suggestion that said it was a setting in Bios but I do not see anything there, so if it is something with the Bios then it's more serious than just a setting. Anyone have any ideas?

tijo, +1 rep when I can again :)

I'd like to throw some praise out to Adobe for their protection mechanism that the entertainment industry should consider.

With Photoshop you can install it on two computers. If you want to use it on a third you have to disable it on one of the others first. It is a very simple communication through the internet.

For us here we bought PS CS5 for personal/home use - not to make money. Sure we'd like to be allowed three installs but two works.
I have it on my machine to help with a solution without having to take over the other computer and at my leisure.

I can't go into my BIOS right now, but I know there are settings there that can be made in the sub expanding +, In device manager see under universal serial bus controllers if it is showing any issues.

EDIT: picture of DM USB added. Couldn't find anything in BIOS that would effect.
    Renesas USB Driver is this one: R292027 > NEC USB 3.0 {A01}

Not really, illegal copies are readily available for adobe products. Best protection mechanism out there probably is some industrial software, though it is cumbersome and not really for individual end users.

Dell 6600 today received some sort of update from Dell, didn't pay attention to exactly what it was. The equipment list still shows the OCZ 120GB boot drive but the main bios area shows only the secondary drive and the system is now unable to find a boot device. Any ideas on a solution?

Try Loading defaults in BIOS, save/apply; Reset AHCI , save/apply.

Next step if that fails: Startup repair, run three times.

    Don't let stuff automatically update.

Edit: Oh, And let us know if it worked - thanks :)

I'm aware of that and understand. My point is that the paying should not be disallowed some minimal freedom. Livelihoods are derived from paying customers - same as every business; Ignore their needs - suffer the consequences. Want to know what's wrong with the USA - look to Hollywood for a starter.

Even Microsoft has upped their game a bit - to be more accommodating to customers need for flexibilty.

What do you guys think about RAID 0 with two SSD's? I read that the trim feature won't work. How much faster is it compared to 1 SSD? I got a need for speed...

From what i understood, the USH is some sort of unified controller taking care of any security device installed on the laptop. I am guessing the USH is there regardless of whether there are any security devices installed.

As for the unknown device, look up the vendor and device ID, it will give you an insight on what it is. You can post the code here, it won't hurt.
