Well guys, the thing is that the price was significantly low due to the fact it's "refurbished", and i got a 3 year warranty from the store itself.

but if the difference between the GPUs is considerable i might just replace it.

The Quadro FX is about twice as powerful as the NVS.

Do tell the store to not pull this kind of crap. Any normal buyer will be mislead to think this was a proper m4300 with the new GPU.

IF it makes you feel any better, the quadro nvs 140m and the quadro fx 360m are EXACTLY the same, only with ISV certified drivers. So unless you will be doing CAD and development, it might not be worth to swapped out. Otherwise there is absolutely zero difference assuming they have the same config. I have a M4300 as seen in my sig below. I like it a lot, but the graphics card is SEVERELY underpowered with only a 64-bit bus. They fixed this with the M4400 with the quadro 570m but that GPU runs REALLY HOT even at idle.

Also as said before, the Quadro FX 360m is NOT twice as powerful as the NVS quadro. Do your research. They are the EXACT same card, based on the 8400m GS with 16 stream processors, just with a diff bios and ID string to allow drivers to figure out which driver to install.

AGAIN, this is not true. the cards are EXACTLY the same. Even if the Quadro is "better", why is the NVS rated a bit higher? They all have the same 8400m GS core at same clock speeds, 64 bit mmory bus and 256mb of 400mhz DDR.

I'm quite a dell expert so I know this to be true.,

Essentially the M4300 is a way overpriced D830 only due to the testing for ISV and CAD certification man hours they needed to do. I only obtained mine from work for free. I would never pay for it.

That part is true. I upgraded my M4300 to have the X9000 Extreme CPU put in it. No regrets, its a great CPU.
