I went ahead and ordered one with 4GB and the I3 and in Red. Was about $700. Now I am wondering if that red is a matte red or glossy red. I don't want any finger prints. And I am assuming that the screen is matte as well. I also ordered a Crucial C300 64GB SSD drive for $150. This should make the V130 scream and remain nice and cool and quiet...

Curious, why did you choose the Crucial and not go with the V130's SSD option? Was it price alone, or did you specifically want Crucial?

Performance. The Crucial is probably the fastest SSD around right now, and at a good price. Dell's SSD leaves alot to be desired.....

Then presumably you are also purchasing the external drive, in order to reinstall the OS?

I'd consider doing that as well, purchase now and install a SSD later as prices drop further.
But before I consider buying it, Dell has to improve the battery life. I'd like to know what kind of battery life you are getting.

    Thanks.

It sure looks good, Dell now has the Vostro V130 on it's own domain:

Look around and tell me if you can find a i3 slim 13in for under the price of the v130. Even System76's comparable machine is $700, Maingear wants $1099, and Falcon-NW wants $1300.
