I think busterx has a good point 1600x900 might be all right. I don't know that I have ever seen a display at that resolution, so I'm curious how it would look on a 14". I think a 15" it would definitely be all right.

    1600 x 900 @ 14" is about 131 pixels per inch. That's slightly smaller pixels than 1680 x 1050 @ 15.4" (which I know is too small for my eyes).

    1600 x 900 @ 15.6" is 118ppi - slightly bigger than the 120ppi for 1440 x 900 @ 14.1".

So as much as i was looking for a M2500, the M4500 or 8540/w is more what i need now. So any news on when the M4500 will be released? I am still pondering a M4400 as the prices (on the Dell Premier site anyways) have dropped a fair bit.

Yes the prices for the precision m4400 is insane, its crazy for like 1,500 something you can get specs that would of cost you 2,600!

    Oh thanks for the link.
    I hope that`s
    a) only an option or
    b) a stupid idea of the graphic designer („oh we have that picture with black and orange on the precisions, let`s do a black-blue one here!”)

I hadn't seen that before. Figure 2 on page 14 is interesting. It shows both Core i5 and i7 as being options for the new Latitudes. I have to assume that Dell mean footnote a and not footnote b against the model numbers.
