I couldn't wait for Dell any longer. My Latitude D600 has served me very well for the past 5+ years, but it's huffing and puffing now and needs to be put to rest. Just ordered an EliteBook 8540w from HP.

I've only owned Dell PCs in the past and had planned to get another Latitude, but I can't wait until May or June. Arrandale was announced on January 7th, it's now late March and not a peep yet out of Dell about a refresh.

    Moving on...

Dell's announcement must be getting imminent, if not overdue. I just found this here:

Very cool. Hopefully, something hits the online PR circuits later today. I'm ready to see what Dell has to offer.

Thanks John. That's a month old announcement though, hopefully it's still on schedule.

I'm so close to pulling the trigger on a HP EliteBook 8540P WH252UT. Someone please talk me out of it.

    Deep breaths. Twiddle thumbs.

The Precision M4500 (with optional full gamut 1920x1080 screen / backlit keyboard / multitouch trackpad) and the new Latitudes are almost here ;)

I've been without a laptop for several months waiting on these things. I tried and returned an HP Envy, and since then, no one seems to be shipping full HD laptops. Come on, Dell, don't let me down!

Same here (except that I do have a laptop). I've been waiting for the ThinkPad T410s with switchable graphics since January. No idea when that is going to be available, should've been out months ago. Now I'm thinking I'll get either the M4500 or E6510 / E6410. The HD full gamut screen would be quite nice.

Well, I did it. I ordered a Lenovo W510 to try out. I've got 30 days to mess around with it, if it sucks I can send it back I guess. My first Lenovo ever.

I would but i cannot. I could not wait for the Dell either and bought the HP. No regrets. By far the best Notebook i have owned in years.
